The Morley Vanguard 2.5 Amp per track '0' gauge controller has state of the art design, electronics and construction providing the very best in performance and capability. Complete with two 5 meter hand held controllers that give you freedom of capability over the layout.
The Vanguard controller comes with two 5 meter Exhibition type hand held controllers. The Exhibition type has an indent at 12 o'clock to let you know that you are at the off position when operating. The Hand Held Units give freedom to the modeller to operate at any part of the layout. Extension leads to the Hand Held Units can be supplied extending the coverage of the layout, each extension lead comes with a special connector block.
Each 220/240 Volt AC powered controller hastwo power transformers one for each track, these toroidal type transformers provide the latest in transformer technology providing the correct voltage (V) and power (A) to each track. Automatic 2.5amp re-set circuit breakersone pertrack protect for overloads etc. The Capacitor Discharge Unit andthe 12V DC accessoryare fed by a separate transformerand each circuit is protected by auto reset cut outs.
Unique to Morley the Vanguard 2.0 is designed with a Heavy Duty Capacitor Discharge Unit (HD/CDU) this facilityhas it's own power supply and is not connected to any other circuit in the controller. When used with a momentary switch it will power point motors giving them a firm positive burst of current, being of short duration it prevents point motor burn out. A "points CDU ready" LED light indicator is situated on the front panel. A point motor wiring diagram is included.

The screen printed silver anodized aluminium front panel gives perfect indication of the settings of switches and controls, andis supported with LED indicators. Each track has a dual red and green LED for power and direction, plus the CDU and accessories each have indicatorLED's.
Computer type FAN COOLING is fitted to the Vanguard, this keeps the internal temperaturecorrect for the components to perform at their optimum performance.
The centre off power controls provide locomotive direction change together with perfect smooth control at slow speeds as well as fast.
The output connections are by screw type terminal block, simply strip end of wire, twist,place it in theblock and screw down,simple.
A 16V DC uncontrolled 1.5Aoutput for accessories is provided this will operate your signals, building lighting etc. This facility has it's own power supply andis not connected toany other circuit in the controller.
The controlleris supplied witha UK3 pin mains plug top.
